Knit a treat for your feet with the Falling Leaves socks from Pam Grushkin. The broken cable rib pattern of these socks, with vertical lines interspersed with small cables, is reminiscent of falling leaves. Easy to follow yet interesting enough for more experienced knitters, these toe-up socks use Judy’s Magic Cast-On and German short row heels to create the perfect fit. The ribbed texture helps the socks hold their shape and stay on, giving your feet a warm hug.

Mrs. Crosby Travels Club, Quarterly Membership
This quarter, our Mrs. Crosby Travels Club follows the theme of Night of the Living Yarn.

Travel to Transylvania with Mrs. Crosby this month and celebrate Night of the Living Yarn. Our favorite yarn traveler went to this historic region of Romania and came back with some luscious and a little spooky yarn to use in your next project. This quarter, she’s brought skeins of her Carpet Bag, a DK weight blend of 80% Merino Wool and 20% Silk (231 yds (219m) / 100g). Dyed in a colorway inspired by and named after Muma Padurii from Romanian folklore, the hauntingly beautiful combination of acid green with speckles of mossy green, red, and black are perfect for Halloween projects of all kinds.

PS: This is Mrs. Crosby’s last journey with us. We will announce a replacement for this quarterly crate with the same dyer, Amanda Jarvis, and her new brand, LL Yarn Co.
