We don't think it's rude to knit in public...in fact we completely disagree with this article - who are these people?! We could say the same for reading, eating, talking on the phone and any other number of activities in public. Knitting in public can be soothing to the people around you, bring back distant memories of loved ones who knit or crocheted, and inspire others to learn our craft.
