April Sneak Peeks

IT'S SNEAK PEEK TIME: This KnitCrate mailer traveled 7,000 miles so we could give our Baby, Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced KnitCraters a SNEAK PEEK at SOME upcoming package contents. . .

But first, we don’t want our Sock or Indie KnitCraters to feel left out! So here is a sneak peek for them (we may do a pic later depending on requests) – all April Sock and Indie Knitcrates will include the NEW KnitCrate exclusive colorway “KnitCrate’s Puddle Jumping by” . . . trust us, you’ll LOVE the highly talented dyer we worked with and how our exclusive colorway came out!

So back to that mailer: Everyone LOVES KnitCrate’s red metallic bubble cushioned glamour mailers – we regularly receive fantastic feedback from subscribers and customers regarding our service and products. However, one consistent comment we get is “LOVE the mailer – I used it to [COMPLETE SOME SHIPMENT TO A LOVED ONE]!” or “Where did you ever find those red shiny mailers!” or some derivative thereof. We chose our mailers for the reasons listed below, but we want to share our recent “real world” test on just how tough our mailers are all while giving a bit of a sneak peek.

This picture is of one of our mailers that we used to ship sample products to a pattern designer in the UK for some upcoming KnitCrates. The pattern designer used samples, which consisted of products constructed in Peru, the UK and Germany (a multi-sneak peek!), to finalize designs for KnitCrate. She then knit up several samples and shipped them back to us in New York using THE SAME MAILER. . . so approximately 7,000 miles of travel and no worse for the wear! Not a single puncture, tear, rip, etc. nor any moisture/water penetration to damage the contents! We’d be pushing our luck trying to get that result with a cardboard box or paper mailer. . .

We chose our red metallic bubble cushioned glamour mailers over other options (e.g., cardboard box, paper mailer) primarily for the following:

• reduced environmental impact: low weight recycled material

• re-usability: use it to send a loved one a gift—we won't tell!

• moisture protection: impervious material keeps moisture out

• tear protection: metallic exterior reduces damage to contents

• impact protection: bubble cushioned interior cushions any falls
