January 2019 Sock Artisan Crate Reveal

This months Sock Artisan invites Flying Goat Farm to share something special with us in the form of their Flying Goat Farm Corriedale Sock. This superwashed Corriedale wool and nylon blend has 430 yards per skein and is custom dyed just for Knitcrate in a new colorway: Lake Como. The dyer was inspired by the idea of a lakeside getaway in Europe, and we cant help but wish thats where we were spending our holidays, too, after seeing these stunning skeins:

We always feel like the biggest challenge with a variegated skein is finding just the right pattern to show it off with, and designer Elisabeth White has really created the perfect solution. Her Cozy Cabin socks feature delicate cable details and slipped stitches that move the colors around beautifully. We think this one will be a go-to for many variegated yarns, not just this months offering!

The extra in Artisan Sock this month is one of the cutest things weve ever seen. These little knitted hat pins are actually tiny, knitted hats with pom-poms, perfect for topping a last minute gift or adding to your favorite jacket lapel.
