March 2019 Membership Crate
It’s that time again! Today kicks off the beginning of our March Reveal week and we’re so excited to show you what’s coming in this month’s crates. This month’s theme is Whisper, and is all about those soft, subtle, seasonal transitions. We’ve designed the Membership Crate colorway, Titmouse, in honor of a frequent visitor to Hannah’s birdfeeder, the Tufted Titmouse:

This scrappy little bird might look plain here, but in person he’s quite charming! With a deep navy beak and soft lavender and taupe feathers, a spot of bright yellow and that adorable little crest, how could we resist naming a colorway after him? Dyed on a new base, Knitologie Sheen (75% Merino Wool, 15% Silk, 10% Cashmere) is a super-soft, luxurious fingering weight with 400 yards in each skein.

The luxurious blend of this base puts it a little beyond the cost of a standard skein, so we’ve got one skein in each crate, but we’ve partnered it with a special extra: a “Make all the things” zipper project bag in cotton canvas that you’ll love using for your March projects! We’ve also gone above and beyond with the patterns this month, giving you two options each for knitting and crochet.
The crate comes with one skein, so we’ve got two one-skein patterns that use exactly the right amount. First up, the Solennelle shawl designed by Kendall Timko features the sweetest lace edge:

While Hannah Thiessen’s simple but sweet slipped-stitch hat, Birdseed, is the perfect fitted beanie for variegated yarns:

If you’re planning on picking up an extra skein during Doubledown (the period during the month where we send you a special code via our newsletter–make sure you are signed up here), you’ll be able to make one of the featured two-skein patterns!
Lilia Vanini’s elegant, knitted Penelope Set features a scarf and delicate headband:

While Bonnie Barker’s squish-a-licious Honeycomb Shawl showcases front post crochet and crocheted cables:

That’s 400 yards of luxury blend yarn, a project bag, our monthly magazine, and four patterns, all for $24.99–but we didn’t stop there. Members of Membership or Sock Membership also get access to the new pop-up shop patterns every month for free (available on the downloads page, which you can access via the link on the table of contents page of the booklet). Stay tuned as those patterns are revealed later in the week!
If you haven’t joined us for Knitcrate yet, what are you waiting for? This is a great month to sign up. Pop over to the Ravelry group and see what other members are saying about this crate.
