At Knitcrate, were releasing a whopping six new patterns every month. With a mix of knitting and crochet patterns, sock and small scale accessories all the way up to tops and shawls, thats a lot of work to ask from our designers and technical editors. While they all do a spectacular job, errata, or errors, happen from time to time, and we answer customers questions (and any discovered oopsies) with quick and speedy pattern updates.
To make sure youre always getting the most recently updated version of a pattern, follow these easy steps!
Download on Ravelry
Our patterns give you the option to download onto your computer or device, but also to download to your Ravelry account. Even if you dont spend much time on the site, this is the best way to make sure youll always know if a pattern is updated (and make sure you have the most current version). When you get your cards, download your pattern onto your Ravelry account and it will always be stored in your library.
When you open the Library section of your Notebook, youll see a page like this:
See that6 updates available in the left sidebar? Click that button to see which patterns have updates (before you begin your project or ask a question, this is a great place to start). The button will take you to a page where it shows all of the changes made, and gives you the option to clickupdate now on any patterns that have had new versions updated.
Check your Ravelry Messages & Emails
Whenever we update, we send out an email via Ravelry to anyone who has purchased or downloaded the pattern. Youll get an update in your email inbox from your Ravelry account, as well as an update in your Ravelry mail, letting you know what was updated and which version is current.
Join us in the Forums
If youre having a problem and arent sure if its user error or written error, the forums are a great place to go! We have a great Ravelry group where there is an active thread for each and every shipment. Pop in and see if any other members are experiencing the same issues (and if theyve already been resolved in the thread)!
