Who can resist a cozy sweater with great stripes? 
This cardigan has super fun, sporty sleeve stripes and is a comfortable, mid weight.

Use your favorite colors or try a bold pairing for a little wow, however you choose your colors you’ll love wearing this with everything.

Knit top down with a classic round neck, raglan sleeves and waist shaping. Aran weight yarn makes a pretty quick knit.

  • Yarn: Cascade Yarns Cantata (218yds/200m, 3.5oz/100g, 70% cotton/30% merino wool) 
    A – 02 Gray, 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 7, 8) skeins 
    B – 09 Blue, 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2) skeins 
    C – 20 Cactus, 1 skein
  • Needles: US 8 (5mm) 32”/80cm or longer circular needle for body or size to obtain gauge US 8 (5mm) short circular and/or double point needles for sleeves 
    US 7 (4.5mm) 16”/40cm circular needle for neck
  • Notions: 4 stitch markers, 2 flexible stitch holders/strings, tapestry needle, 7 x 13-15mm buttons, needle & thread
  • Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette using larger needles

Construction: Cardigan is worked top down in one piece, beginning with the neck, shaped with short rows. The yoke/sleeve caps are worked with raglan shaping to the underarm, the sleeves are placed on holders and the lower body continued with waist shaping. 
The button band and buttonholes are worked at the same time as the body. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round in stripe pattern.
