Sky Window Hat

GENERAL INFORMATION:

This is an easy cable-based hat knitted in the round. Intended as beanie instructions are given also for conversion into a slouchy version.

The piece is knitted in the round and requires some basic cable experience and a bit of concertation when working the crossings. This is an easy go-to projects for Christmas or any other occasion gits.

The pattern is designed for dk wool, available in three sizes – toddler/child (to fit head 48-52cm), child/small adult (to fit head 52-56 cm) and adult (to fit head 56-60 cm). The pattern includes both charts AND written instruction for whichever suits you best.

SIZE:

Toddler/child – to fit head 46-50 cm/ 18-20 in

Child / small adult - to fit head 52-56 cm / 20.5-22 in

Adult – to fit head 56-60 cm / 22 – 24 in

MATERIALS:

Yarn:

Stenli Merino Baby 100 gr (100 gr, 150 gr) (sky blue, color 525); or

MillaMia Naturally Soft Merino 100 gr (100 gr, 150) (rain, color 165); or

Rico Essentials Merino DK 100 gr (100 gr, 150 gr) (light blue, color 34).

Needles:

Circular needles size 3.0 mm,

Circular needles size 4 mm or size necessary to achieve gauge.

Other:

1 stitch marker, cable needle, darning needle, scissors.

GAUGE:

Gauge in stockinette stitch: 24 stitches x 32 rows for 10 cm x 10 cm
