Alternating speckled and variegated, tonal, or solid color yarn brings to life a whimsical shawl, part zebra stripes and part beautifully colored unicorn: the mythical zebracorn.
Perfect for those skeins of speckled yarn that coordinate with another great skein of fingering yarn.
Designed with cleverly placed half double crochets to create a solid fabric with knit-like ridges, and star stitch edging providing additional texture that celebrates glorious, exuberant colors.
This pattern is worked top down from the center with increases at the end and center point of each row. While there is a definite right and wrong side to this shawl, the wrong side looks pretty awesome as well.
Detailed instructions, including a picture tutorial, are given for stitch placement as well as how to make the star stitches.
