Hocus Pocus

$5.00 USD

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Growing up, we would get blizzards on or before Halloween. To counter this, my mom would make my brother and I costumes that were two sizes too big so we could wear our snowsuits under them to stay warm. Some Halloween’s were so cold here in Edmonton that my mom would have to drive her car alongside us, so we had a place to warm up when it was -25°C out.

While I don’t go out trick-or-treating anymore, dang adulthood, Halloween is still my favorite. We had out candy to the cute kids, I scare Curt with horror movies, and we binge on candy all night long.

Scoop up one of Turtlepurl’s spooktastic Halloween colorways, grab yourself a ghoulish beverage, and let’s dive into the trick-or-treat double feature with Hocus Pocus and Strange Magic… if you dare!

Worked in the round, Hocus Pocus contains written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. Directions are for both cuff-down and toe-up. If you feel inclined to make 2 in the same direction, that’s completely acceptable, or one of each if you’re feeling particularly topsy-turvy! Hocus Pocus features 4 sizes. You’ll also find a sock worksheet, so you know how to measure your foot to achieve a perfect fit. Hocus Pocus has directions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the pattern notes do contain details should you wish to use double pointed needles instead.
