These textural socks were inspired by the beauty of wrought iron rails. The interaction of twisted stitches, cables and lace creates a sculptural yet surprisingly stretchy fabric.
These socks are worked from the cuff down. The pattern includes written instructions and charted stitch patterns. Options are provided for short and long leg lengths and for three foot lengths.
Sizes: small (medium, large)
leg length = 7.25 or 9.5 inches
foot length = 9 (9.75, 10.5) inches
Yarn Requirements: 400 - 450 yards (366 - 411 meters) fingering weight yarn
Needles: 2.75 mm (US 2) double point needles; 2 small cable needles
Gauge: 7 stitches and 1.5 rounds = 1 inch in stockinette
