These casual and densely cabled socks were inspired by the rugged rock of the Canadian Shield. The combination of simple and embedded cables is easily mastered by knitters with some cable experience.  The pattern includes detailed instructions and cable charts. These socks are worked from the top down.


Sizes:
  small/medium (large)
leg length = 8.5 (9.5) inches
foot length = adjustable
cuff circumference = 11.5 (12.5) inches


Yarn Requirements:
  350 - 400 yards (320 - 366 meters) fingering weight yarn

Needles:  2.5 mm (US 1.5) and 2.75 mm (US 2) double point needles; small cable needle
Gauge:  7 stitches and 9 rounds = 1 inch in stockinette on 2.75 mm (US 2) needles
