Colorful disco shirts, the bee gees, and John Travolta’s swagger. OH MY GOSH, the 70s were wild. May’s sock pattern for the Night at the Movies Sock Club takes its inspiration from the movie Saturday Night Fever.
Stephanie, Travolta’s love interest in the movie, is a strong female character with loads of sass, who isn’t going to put up with nonsense. Interestingly, there’s a PG version of the movie and an R-rated version. I’m pretty sure growing up I only saw the PG version on VHS way back in the day, because I certainly didn’t recall all the “yikes” moments when I rewatched the movie on Netflix.

Stephanie – Worked in the round, Stephanie contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
