Stimulus Payments April 2025 – These Are Different Types of Deposits You Can Receive this Month?

There are no Stimulus Payments that are expected to be delivered in the month of April 2025. The three Stimulus Payments were made during and after the Covid pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Since then no such Stimulus Payments have been made and it is very less likely to happen again anytime soon. The federal government hasn’t made any formal announcement on any Stimulus Payment in April 2025.

However there are certain US states that are providing stimulus benefits to their residents and can be claimed in the month of April 2025. The US states of Alaska and New Jersey are offering two programs for their residents that are The Alaska Permanent Dividend Fund and The Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters respectively.

Stimulus Payments April 2025

The Alaska PFD is a direct deposit payment for eligible Alaskans that will be delivered later in the fourth quarter of the year 2025. However, the claim application filing has been opened since January 1^st, 2025 and will continue till April 30th , 2025. The claim applications will be accepted online that can be done at the official website of the Alaskan Department of Revenue. The residents of the state can also submit their offline application to claim their dividend payments for the year 2025.

The New Jersey’s ANCHOR program, on the other hand, is a property tax relief payment for the homeowners and renters residing in the state during the year 2024. The residents must satisfy the three main eligibility criteria of age, income threshold and residency of having their main home in New Jersey to claim relief payments against their deposited property tax for the year 2024. The claim applications can be filed up till October 31^st, 2025. The amount of payment given under the NJ’s ANCHOR program may vary depending on the respective property tax, deposited during 2024, of the eligible claimant.

Governmental Deposits Which Can be Claimed in April 2025?

The Alaskans have to file their online PFD claims using their “myAlaska” accounts wherein they can electronically sign their application, update their address if required and select direct deposit method. The myAlaska account also allows claimants to access their 1099 tax document and review their claim application so that no discrepancies are left. The claimants can track their PFD claim application using their “myPFD” login credentials.

The PFD payments for eligible online applications with direct deposit as payment method shall commence disbursement from the first week of October 2025. Whereas the payments for eligible offline applications with check as payment method shall commence from last week October 2025. Further, the payments for eligible claim applications of the year 2024 and haven’t been paid till March 12^th, 2025 shall be distributed on March 20^th, 2025.

The NJ’s ANCHOR claim applicants have to satisfy certain eligibility criteria that are as follows:

For Homeowners –

• The claimant has to be a resident of New Jersey during 2024;
• The claimant has owned and resided in the home as his or her principal residence as of October 1^st, 2024;
• The claimant has paid property taxes for the said home in 2024;
• The claimant has not earned annual gross income above $250,000 in 2024.

For Renters –

• The claimant has to be a resident of New Jersey during 2024;
• The claimant has rented and resided in the home as his or her principal residence as of October 1^st, 2024;
• The claimant’s must have signed a rental or lease agreement by his or her name for the said home;
• The claimant has duly paid all the rent to the owner while claiming this relief;
• The claimant has paid property taxes for the said home in 2024;
• The claimant has not earned annual gross income above $150,000 in 2024.

Fact check on Stimulus Payments in April 2025

The recurring use of Stimulus Payments or Stimulus Check Payments is just a mere attention grabbing tactic nothing else as no such payments are coming anytime soon. Earlier, the three payments that were made during the Coronavirus pandemic stricken American economy were to give immediate relief in the form of financial assistance to American people. The US economy though struggling due to on-going global uncertainties has by and large recovered from the adverse impact of the lockdowns and stagnant commercial activities. Therefore the probability of such Stimulus Payments coming again is far from reality to happen in 2025.

The federal and state governments have to analyse the viability and requirement of any Stimulus Check payments like disbursement otherwise the decision of giving away such payments might backfire seriously. The US States such as Alaska and New Jersey have found other ways to assist their residents in terms of providing financial relief by the means of their specialized programs such as PFD and ANCHOR respectively. The residents of these states need to file their claim application accordingly in the month of April 2025 to receive their payments.
